How it all started...
Our story illustrates the resurrecting power of Jesus. We were a struggling small dying church. God redirected our focus to a Gospel centered, Christ following church that lives on mission to serve our King. As small town Kingdom servants, we strive to be light in a very dark community that has rejected the cultural Christianity that so saturates Lawrence County, Arkansas. God is working in our community, and we look to join Him where He calls restoring our community through authentic Kingdom relationship, compassionate Kingdom service, and Gospel centered Kingdom community.
Expanding the vision...
Our vision centers on rescuing and restoring our community in a broken world through Gospel saturation and people group penetration. Brokenness overwhelms our small community. Broken families, relationships, and lives are the norm . We realize that many see the church as plastic hypocritical people. We understand that our weakness is a platform to reveal God's glory. Our community needs a church that develops Kingdom servants that display compassionate hearts filled with the hope of the Gospel. First Hope! Ephesians 1:12
Where we are headed...
God continues to write His story of restoration through First Baptist Hoxie. We have embraced the call of God to a broken world believing that God has given our church the missional mandate, motives, map, and marks necessary to be a part of a movement of God. God Almighty is raising up a people to join Him on His mission. We invite you to join the movement of God through His church.
